Build a New Society

This section treats Canada as a society being designed from the ground up. Every proposal belongs under one of eight systems.

The eight systems

1. Foundations

The constitutional, democratic, and moral principles that define the country.

2. People & Membership

Citizenship, residency, immigration, population, identity, and the rights and obligations attached to membership.

3. Government

How authority is divided, institutions are structured, representatives are selected, and public decisions are made.

4. Economy & Work

Employment, taxation, business, trade, industrial policy, labour relations, and economic security.

5. Public Services

Healthcare, education, housing, transportation, social protection, and other shared systems.

6. Justice & Safety

Courts, policing, corrections, national security, rights enforcement, and emergency management.

7. Land & Environment

Natural resources, agriculture, cities, infrastructure, energy, climate, and stewardship of Canadian territory.

8. Canada & the World

Defence, diplomacy, alliances, international development, migration agreements, and Canada's role abroad.

Editorial rule

A proposal should have one primary home. Related pages may link to it, but the same proposal should not be duplicated across several branches.
